2007 WOMEN'S FROZEN FOUR ALUMNAE EVENTS

Former collegiate women’s ice hockey players are invited to the following special events in Lake Placid, NY on the weekend of the 2007 NCAA Women's Frozen Four Ice Hockey Championship:  Friday March 16th, Saturday March 17th, and Sunday March 18th 2007. All events are free, however tickets to the games are not included.

5 PM SEMI-FINAL GAMES –  OLYMPIC CENTER 1980 ARENA - FREE RECEPTION!
The first semi-final starts at 5 PM, with the second following about an hour after the end of the first game. There will be a free reception held for alumnae and coaches between games.  A special ticket package is available to alumnae and their guests (see below). Bring your friends!

7:30 PM ALUMNAE GAME – 1980 ARENA – BRING YOUR SKATES!
The fourth annual alumnae contest starts at 7 PM at 1980 Arena in the Olympic Center at Lake Placid. Skate on the same ice as the 1980 Olympic Miracle and the 2007 Frozen Four! The Frozen Four Alumnae Contest was started in 2004, with 32 enthusiastic alums lacing up their skates at the Providence Dunkin Donuts Center. In 2005 turnout was even better, with 47 alumnae taking the UNH Whittemore Center ice. Last year we moved out west to Minnesota where the host state broke the record for the oldest player (80 years old!)  This year, it’s New York State’s turn to take on the best of the rest!  Free Frozen Four alumnae game jersey and other special gifts for all participants!
 
9 PM POST-GAME MEAL – FREE!
All alumnae and guests who register in advance will be invited to a free post-game meal at Mr Mike's Pizza, 2742 Main Street.  Share food, drink, and your best hockey stories with your old friend and rivals!

11 AM ALUMNAE BRUNCH  - PRE-CHAMPIONSHIP MEAL
An informal brunch featuring presentations by some of the pioneers of women’s ice hockey will be held at 11 AM at Jack Frost's Casual Dining (518-523-9200; 217 Main Street, Lake Placid, across from the Olympic Center). Included will be recognition of those who laid the groundwork for the current women’s college hockey teams!  Door prizes!
 
1 PM CHAMPIONSHIP GAME
The NCAA national collegiate championship game is at 1 PM in 1980 Arena.  See the national champion crowned!

SPECIAL EVENTS
All alumnae events are FREE to those who played women's college hockey at the club or varsity level - just sign up in advance!

ALUMNAE TICKET PACKAGE
A special ticket package, including reserved seats for the semi-final and final games, is available for $25 to alumnae and their guests.  Bring your family and friends. Order tickets by sending in the attached order form
